After the wild success of Fantastic Beasts we were charged with developing the identity for the sequel. As the first film introduced us to the characters and set the foundation of the storyline it became clear that this film was about more than the beasts themselves. Inspired by the developing plot the identity conceals the Deathly Hollows within it. Newt’s wand underlines Fantastic Beasts hinting that he’ll continue to be our hero in this installment.

Based on the logo we developed a complete custom typeface lovingly titled “Crimes New Roman”. The character set includes Latin and Cyrillic which  services most western markets.
